Sussex dental First Aid Training is dedicated to delivering first class Emergency First Aid and resuscitation training to dental teams within current GDC guidelines.
We offer training for dental teams, at your premises and at a time to suit you. Our comprehensive training covers not only Basic Life Support (CPR) but also recognition and immediate care for medical emergencies common to dental practice.
Our paramedic trainers will carry out a full review and check all emergency medications at your practice in-line with the British National Formulary.
Sussex Dental First Aid Training has a background of managing and teaching first aid/manual handling courses in the dental industry, schools, colleges and adult education centres and with proven knowledge in disability, homeless and drug issues.
Garry has a background covering 30 years of experience working in and with volunteers and managed training, development and coordination of delivering First Aid and medical training.
As a HCPC Paramedic and practice placement educator Garry is at ground level, delivering care on a daily basis and this is very much a profession that Garry holds close to his heart. Garry teaches with real life experiences and incorporates this in his delivery and has taught many teams, individuals, schools and colleges in first aid and advanced medical first aid.
Garry has worked in partnership with the West Sussex Fire Service and their co-responding units, delivering ILS, Basic Life Support and Automatic External Defibrillation training.
Garry brings a unique blend of personal experience and many years of practical application to his work. Acknowledged as a dynamic, personable and practical speaker, Garry combines his own experience with his knowledge and sense of humour to effectively communicate his teaching.
First aid has been part of Nikki’s life since 1989. She has steadily built her skills and experience in this area. Teaching first aid is a passion. As part of her Community Responder roll, she has had the opportunity to put into practice many of the practical skills taught in first aid. Her clinical background has been essential for delivering excellent first aid tuition, not only practical skills but also ensuring the students fully understand why.
